CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- Cherise Mims-Kruty, 24, of Coronado Parkway in Cape Coral, Fla. passed away May 10, 2007, while accompanied by her family at Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers, Fla., following complications from surgery. Cherise is the daughter of Donald and Kathleen Kruty, Jr. of Ashland and Scott Mims of Tallahassee, Fla.

The Wooster Elite J.O. Volleyball Club's 16-under team recently qualified for the national tournament, to be held this year in Minneapolis, Minn., in July. The squad is based out of Northwestern High School and features five local girls and coaches Cheryl Koch and Vince Erwin.
Super Late Model Main Goes to Conley
The Super Late Models paid their first visit of the season to Lakeville Speedway on Rod Eddleblute's Garage trophy night as the regular classes of Late Models, Pure Stocks and Mini Stocks were also on hand. The Super Late Model feature started out looking like it was going to be a Charlie Duncan runaway, but somewhere along the way in the first 11 circuits, the left front wheel of Duncan's car broke, and after a caution for a Mark Bellamy spin, Duncan could not continue.

ORRVILLE -- Minnie L. Moser, 84, formerly of 474 Wadsworth Road, died Saturday, May 12, 2007, at Orrville Pointe in Orrville, following a one-year period of declining health. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 16, at 11 a.m. at East Chippewa Church of Brethren with the Rev. Delbert Kettering officiating. Burial will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.
WOOSTER -- Fred L. Mullen, 66, of Wooster, died Saturday, May 12, 2007, at Wooster Community Hospital. Services will be Tuesday, May 15, at 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with the Rev. Dean Hammond officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
