Quota International of Wooster Daryl Perrine gave an update on "Quota Idol" when Quota International of Wooster met Jan. 6 at Memories Party and Conference Center. She announced the singing competition will have a new name and take place in June at the Wooster High School Performing Arts Center, a new venue.

John Beck

WOOSTER -- John G. Beck passed away at his home on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009, at the age of 89. He was born Dec. 11, 1919, in Johnstown, Pa. His parents were Thomas H. and Mary J. (Shiber) Beck.

Mildred 'Mid' Butzer

WOOSTER -- Mildred "Mid" Louise Butzer passed away peacefully at her home at 1726 Eby Road, Wooster on Jan. 14, 2009, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Mid fought a courageous battle with cancer for the past 12 years. Services will be held at Auble Funeral Home, 512 E. Oak St., Orrville, on Monday, Jan. 19, 2009, at 11 a.m. with Chaplain Enid Schloneger officiating. Burial will take place in St. Michael's Lutheran Cemetery near Marshallville.
