WOOSTER -- Robert G. Deer, 87, of Wooster, formerly of Sheraden, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009. Husband of the late Grace E., Beloved father of Thomas (Rosemary) Deer, Ruth (Alan) Aubrey, Martha Deer, Mark (Ruth) Deer and Scott Deer; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Erma Faught

WOOSTER -- Erma Jean Faught, 76, of Wooster, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009, at Horn Nursing Center in Wooster, after a period of declining health. There will be no services or visitation. It was her wishes to have a private family interment. Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, 2284 Benden Drive, Wooster, is handling arrangements. Betty Hood

MOUNT VERNON -- Betty L. Hood, 84, formerly of Danville, died Monday, Jan. 5, 2009, at Rose Garden Nursing Home. She was born Sept. 13, 1924, in Knox County to Arthur and Bernice (Bodle) Moreland, and married John F. Breckler on Jan. 20, 1944. He died June 27, 1944. On Feb. 8, 1948, she married William G. Hood. He preceded her in death Aug. 10, 2002.

David Hutchinson Jr.

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- David R. Hutchinson Jr., of Lexington, Ky., husband of Jean Irvin Hutchinson, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009, at his home. He is also survived by a son, David R. (Linda) Hutchinson III of Wooster; a grandson, David R. Hutchinson IV of Puyallup, Wash.; and a sister, Dortha Cales of Morehead, Ky.

WOOSTER -- John D. Perry, 55 of Wooster, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009. Services will be Saturday, Jan. 10, at 11 a.m. at Swigart- Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (U.S. Route 93, Canal Fulton), with visitation from 10 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Clinton Cemetery, where military honors will be conducted by Canal Fulton Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9795.

Grace Rohrer

WILMOT -- Grace N. Rohrer, 87, of Wilmot, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009, at Walnut Hills Nursing Home in Walnut Creek, after a brief illness. She was born May 2, 1921, in Hume, Ill., to the late Blaine and Tillie (Flohr) Sliger and married Earl Rohrer on Aug. 17, 1941. He died Nov. 30, 2008.

Thelma Roth

PERRYSVILLE -- Thelma L. Roth, 87, of Perrysville, died Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 6, 2009, at Colonial Manor Health Care Center, Loudonville, after a 4-year illness. Thelma was born Aug. 6, 1921, in Ashland County, the daughter of the late Adolph and Mary Eva (Peterman) Wuthrich. She was a resident of the Loudonville-Perrysville area all of her life, where she was a 1939 graduate of Loudonville High School. On Feb. 20, 1943, she married Richard Roth. He died Sept. 5, 1992.
