WAYNE TWP. -- Two Wooster residents were injured in a March 19 crash on Friendsville Road. According to the Wooster Post of the State Highway Patrol, Jessica L. Hensel, 24, Friendsville Road, and her passenger Braydon T. Hensel, 4, of the same residence, were taken to Wooster Community Hospital by a Central Fire District squad.
Ashland-West Holmes Considers Last Phase of Energy Savings Program
ASHLAND -- Ashland County-West Holmes Career Center board decided to review implementation of a third and final phase of an energy- saving equipment retrofit program started in 2005. During the coming months, the board plans to revisit a proposal to replace rooftop air conditioning condensers with a central water chilling system after hearing the second phase, completed in 2007, saved more money than projected.

SUGARCREEK -- Alberta Sara King, 87, formerly of Elm Street, Sugarcreek, died Thursday, March 26, 2009, at Walnut Hills Retirement Home. She was born July 1, 1921, in Sugarcreek, to the late William and JeMima (Bittle) Yoder, and married Robert Z. King on June 14, 1941. He preceded her in death on March 25, 2007.
ORRVILLE -- Janet E. Lax, 89, of Orrville, died Thursday, March 26, 2009, at Shady Lawn Health Care Community in Dalton, after a period of declining health. She was born Feb. 25, 1920, in Canton to the late Albert F. and Alice (Mohr) Torgler and married Darrell D. "Chub" Lax on March 22, 1942. He died June 30, 2003.
