Not long ago, Andy Green wrote to say he had purchased an old postcard picturing a worker at the Woodard Machine Co. and asked if anyone had information about the business.

Wooster historian Harry McClarran called to say the Canton- Hughes Pump Co. from Canton moved to town in 1911 and erected a modern factory on the corner of Nold Avenue and Gasche Street. The company is listed in the 1915 city directory as being at 301 Gasche St.
