Ever know a child who had a baby tooth knocked out and everyone said, "Oh, it's only a baby tooth"? Baby teeth get no respect. Parents will spend hundreds of dollars on orthodontia on permanent teeth in order to achieve a beautiful smile, but the same parents ignore baby teeth.

According to an April report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 40 percent of children have at least one cavity before they enter kindergarten. The number of toddlers with tooth decay is rising steadily and that is a problem.
