Making Way for Change at Extension

Summary


Things looked a little different in our office today. Many of you may know that two of our valuable staff chose to retire and Aug. 31 was their last day. Transitions are challenging for many of us and even though we talked about the changes and laid out plans for training another for the position, acclimating to the "new" system is a challenge for everyone. We will miss Deb and Ron very much. We will support Marcia and Amy as they take on new responsibilities and the rest of us will begin to sort through the process of how to best utilize the staff we have. Sometimes new opportunities disguise themselves and appear when we least expect them. Thank you for your patience and support as we begin a new chapter in Wayne County Extension.

Today is the last day of the fair and I'm guessing many of you already have or are making plans to visit and enjoy special events on the fairgrounds. Here are a few things you might want to remember:
