Summary


The Survivor's Lap of a Relay For Life always makes me cry. The tears are the same kind of tears that fall when I see a brand new baby or salute an American flag in a parade.

At the start of every Relay for Life, which is an annual fundraiser for cancer research, everyone in the crowd who has beat the dreaded "C" word walks around the track in a purple T-shirt. Their caregivers usually walk beside them or push their wheelchairs. It is a testimony to medical technology and each survivor's drive to survive.
