Valentine's Day Concentrate On Building Stronger Marriage

Summary


Valentine's Day is just around the corner. When the girls were younger that meant making the boxes, decorating the house and making a special meal to share with something red or pink as the dessert and served on the good china. While many may feel it's just another day, I would like to use the month of February to focus on marriage enrichment. If you are married, you and I have made a relationship commitment to our spouse. Through dating we learned about them, what we liked and what we didn't, what they valued and what they dreamed of. We chose them because we liked what they had to say and how we could reach our goals together. As time goes on and life gets busy, many couples tend to give only leftover time to their relationships.

When that happens, spouses end up taking from their marriages and rarely nourishing them. The result can be a marriage that is dying from routine, habit and basic neglect. Some research indicates that we spend less than 15 minutes a week, truly sharing with our spouse. It is important to get away and spend time together to nourish your relationship, to maintain a satisfying marriage.
