WOOSTER -- Chippewa High School won the Nick Amster Sweepstakes Trophy by accumulating the most sweepstakes points in the 29th annual Wayne County Speech Contest held April 30. The second place team was Norwayne High School, followed by Waynedale High School in third place.
The annual Wayne County event, sponsored by the Tri-County Educational Service Center, offers competition in dramatic interpretation, humorous interpretation, duet acting, oratorical interpretation, original oratory, extemporaneous speaking and prose and poetry reading.
